The Metco Motorsports auxiliary idler kit for the Shelby GT500 is cleverly engineered to be a simple bolt on and to be the ultimate solution to belt slippage.
The kit consists of a heavy-duty, precision-machined aluminum plate that offers three locations for the included 90mm idler pulley. The plate bolts to existing bolt bosses on the vehicle and locates the pulley just to the left of the supercharger pulley, maximizing belt wrap and eliminating slippage. No modifications to the vehicle are necessary. The required fasteners are included, as well as illustrated installation instructions.
When this kit is installed with our popular LP-GT500260 supercharger pulley, the original belt can be re-used.

Interchangeable Crank Pulley Kit (Includes One Pulley Ring)
This comprehensive kit allows the user to replace the heavy factory crankshaft pulley and cage assembly with a lightweight, precision-machined aluminum hub and interchangeable outer ring. The kit includes all of the necessary hardware, including a billet bracket to cleanly relocate the factory crank idler pulley. Once this kit is installed, the user can adjust the vehicle's boost level by simply changing the outer pulley ring to any of the available Metco pulley rings, a process that takes just minutes.
This kit is custom-engineered to be a complete bolt-on, with no cutting, drilling, or irreversible changes required. A special tool is included to assist the installer with removal of the factory pulley retaining bolt. In most cases, total time required for installation is about two hours.
This kit is identical to the Metco Motorsports ICPCOBRA2 except that this kit allows the user to select one pulley ring instead of two.
Pulley ring choices include: 1" smaller than stock diameter (for use with Kenne-Bell or Whipple superchargers), stock diameter, +2 lbs, +4 lbs, +6 lbs, +8 lbs, and +10 lbs. Please make your selection below.
Please note that Metco offers underdrive alternator pulleys that are recommended for use with +4 lb, +6 lb, +8 lb, and +10 lb crank pulley rings. These alternator pulleys are listed in the Mustang Cobra section of our site.

This kit includes a black hardcoat-anodized 90mm idler pulley, which is the smaller size that serves to maximize belt wrap in applications using stock size supercharger pulleys.
The kit includes a billet bearing cover for the pulley, and illustrated installation instructions are provided. This product is an original Metco Motorsports design that has been copied a number of times, but none of the copies match the quality and precision fit of the original.
Note 1: This kit is available with a larger 100mm idler pulley for applications using an overdrive (smaller) supercharger pulley under Metco Motorsports PN MCI-100, also listed in this section. Metco's one-piece driveshaft safety loop is custom-designed to fit the floor pan of the 1979-2004 Mustang and Mustang Cobra. The ring is made from seamless DOM steel in an oversize dimension to accommodate lowered vehicles and aftermarket driveshafts. The flanges are laser-cut from heavy-duty steel and the assembly is precision-welded in a fixture. The finished loop is powdercoated black and packaged with installation instructions and Grade 8 hardware.
This driveshaft loop is designed to mount to the floor pan within six inches of the front universal joint, and it requires that the user add four holes to the pan for the mounting bolts.

The Metco Motorsports high performance lower control arms for the new Mustang are CNC-machined from 6061-T6511 billet aluminum for unsurpassed strength and precision-fit. The control arms are clear-anodized for long-lasting surface protection.
Our control arms are designed to be installed as a direct replacement for the factory control arms, but offer the benefits of the dramatically stronger billet design and a specific combination of Delrin and Energy Suspension-brand bushings. Instant Center Modification Brackets
2005 & Newer Ford Mustang, Shelby GT500
The Metco relocation brackets are manufactured from heavy-duty laser-cut steel, precision-welded on a fixture, and powdercoated for long-lasting surface protection. The kit includes brackets for the left and right lower control arms, Grade 8 hardware, and detailed installation instructions.
The installation of these brackets lowers the rear mounting point of the rear lower control arms, modifying the vehicle’s ‘instant center’. The ‘instant center’ of the vehicle is the point at which imaginary lines drawn to extend the vehicle’s upper link and lower control arms would meet. The brackets cause this imaginary point to move toward the rear of the vehicle, reducing the tendency of the rear of the vehicle to ‘squat’ during hard acceleration. Power normally absorbed in suspension compression is instead applied to the suspension mounting points, driving the rear tires downward and significantly improving traction. The Metco relocation brackets are a direct bolt-on and install with no cutting or drilling.
These brackets are recommended for vehicles used primarily in drag race applications, and are generally not recommended for vehicles used exclusively in street applications or vehicles used for autocrossing or road racing. As anti-squat is increased, anti-dive characteristics will increase and some vehicles may experience instability during hard, high-speed braking.
Note: Metco ICM brackets are compatible with Metco lower control arms only.

The Metco Motorsports upper control arm is comprised of a precision-machined aluminum block housing a threaded steel pinion, a heavy-duty zinc-plated adjuster, and a precision-welded and plated clevis. The combination of these premium components results in a control arm that can be installed as a direct replacement for the factory control arm, but offers the benefits of in-car adjustability, the firm response of the upgraded bushing, and an independently-verified 400% increase in strength.
The Metco control arm for the new Mustang incorporates a unique pivoting clevis necessary to avoid binding in the Mustang's 3-link suspension. A heavy-duty steel pivot mounts precisely in a Delrin insert to allow proper articulation without allowing unwanted movement.
A specific combination of Energy Suspension-brand polyurethane and Delrin bushings is included for the front pivot point to provide a ride quality befitting a high performance vehicle without the harshness of rod ends or heim joints.
The Metco control arm requires no disassembly for adjustment, and the user can even dial in the pinion angle with the vehicle's weight on the suspension. Prior to shipment, the arm is assembled to match the length of the stock control arm found on the 2005 and newer Mustang. No adjustment is required by the installer.

Note: The use of the Metco Heavy-Duty Upper Control Arm Bracket (MUB2005, also listed in this section) is highly recommended in applications with an aftermarket upper control arm. From the factory, the fitment between the front control arm bolt and the factory control arm bracket is very poor, and Mustang owners often complain of the resulting 'clunk' sound while driving. The addition of a high performance control arm with a firmer bushing amplifies the noise, so the use of the precise-fitting Metco bracket is highly recommended to eliminate the problem.

Heavy Duty Upper Control Arm Bracket

This new bracket is a direct replacement for the stock upper control arm bracket found on all 2005 and newer Mustangs. It is made from high-grade laser cut steel and is precision welded on a jig. The bracket is powdercoated for surface protection and includes an application-specific grade 8 front control arm bolt with matching hardware. This bracket eliminates the 'clunk' in the rear suspension often felt by Mustang owners after high performance control arms have been installed. The 'clunk' is the result of the loose fit between the factory's front control arm bolt and the factory upper control arm bracket. All Mustangs suffer from this loose fit, but the addition of high performance control arms with firmer bushings amplifies the noise. Our bracket solves the problem because of the precise fitment of our bracket and the included heavy-duty bolt. Our bracket also offers two front control arm mounting locations, one that approximates the stock location and a second, lower attachment point designed to to improve the car's 'instant center' upon launch. The lower attachment point also offers much-needed clearance between the car's floor pan and the control arm in lowered vehicles.
