The trunk package shelf was designed and is manufactured by an aerospace engineer in Wichita KS. He is also a Mustang enthusiast and the proud owner of a 2006 Tungsten Grey Mustang GT.
The shelf was invented out of personal need. The space over the rear axle is not flat and it is unusable.
The trunk package shelf makes this space usable for storage. The trunk package shelf goes installs in 15 seconds with no tools, see video.
It is made out of cabinet grade birch plywood and exterior grade Masonite. The flat portion is painted flat black The top side is the rough side of the Masonite so your items do not shift, unless you lay rubber through an intersection. The vertical portion is covered with speaker carpet that matches the trunk liner. If you fold the back seats forward, the trunk package shelf is at the same level and provides more flat storage area.
The trunk package shelf fits 2005 – 2010 Mustangs, all models, except convertibles and S1000 Shaker Sound Systems. |
